Partner Input Advised!

Writer's picture: Partner MaterialPartner Material

What are the 3 things Partners should get involved in when preparing written advice for clients?

1. Client Expectations

The more time spent up front managing client expectations on scope, timing, and fees, the less time spent down the road on awkward client conversations.

2. Table of Contents

Before launching the team on the details of the deliverable, productive Partners make sure everyone is on the same page with a Table of Contents.

3. Executive Summary

Most clients only read the executive summary. Understanding this, productive Partners know they will be forgiven almost anything within the advice as long as the executive summary gives the information required.

Partners are well advised to roll their sleeves up on these three components of any written advice.

Indeed, delegation may well be the key to profitable client work. However unguided delegation will only lead to issues down the line!
